With over 33 years of experience in biofertilizer technology, anaerobic microbes, biogas production, industrial enzymes, and probiotics, Dr. Marimuthu’s vision is to translate scientific innovation into practical applications for end users. His goal is to bring benefits to society through microbial management for integrated agriculture, utilizing proprietary technology.

Dr. Preethi Marimuthu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Biotechnology from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, a Master’s degree in Drug Discovery, and a Ph.D. in Drug Delivery from the School of Pharmacy, University College London (UCL). She has been a director of Biofarm Group companies for the past six years, where she is responsible for R&D and new product development. With nearly 10 years of experience in peptide and microbial formulations, Dr. Marimuthu is actively involved in developing proprietary biological formulations for B2B customers. Her vision is to provide end-users with sustainable biological products across various sectors to promote better and safer livelihoods.

Mr. Praveen Marimuthu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Velammal Engineering College, Chennai, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Cardiff Business School, Wales. Dr. Kumaresan Duraisamy is a leading expert in horticultural crops, with a key focus on spices and plantation crops. He has over 45 years of experience in research and technology transfer, initially as Senior Scientist and Head of Crop Protection at the Spices Board, and later as a technical consultant and brand manager for various agro-input companies. Dr. Duraisamy pioneered fertigation and biogation technologies for plantation crops, leading to improved nutrient use efficiency. His recent focus includes the development of novel bio-inoculants/control agents and rhizosphere engineering to promote crop health.

Dr. R. Palaniappan holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and has over 50 years of extensive experience in product and process development in the fields of fertilizers, petrochemicals, speciality chemicals, and performance chemicals. He has rich experience in industrial R&D management in agrochemicals, pharmaceutical active ingredients, rubber processing chemicals, and speciality polymers. Dr. Palaniappan has developed and nurtured R&D initiatives in industries, leading to the realization of commercial production. He has held key positions in various industries, including General Manager, Chief Technology Officer, Vice President, and Chief Advisor.

Dr. V. Udayasuriyan holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the University of Tokyo, Japan. With 38 years of service at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), he has held key responsibilities, including Head of the Department of Biotechnology, Chief Coordinator of the University Innovation Cluster (sponsored by BIRAC), and Director for Student Welfare. He has served as the Principal Investigator for several national and international research grants totaling about Rs. five crores. Dr. Udayasuriyan has been a visiting scientist at OSU, USA, and NUS, Singapore. He has authored 40 peer-reviewed publications and holds two patents. He was honored by TNAU with a gold medal for commercializing Bt research outcomes to bio-industries, generating about Rs. four crores.
