Mycosym Plus

Nematode management
Product contains consortia of Paecilomyces lilacinus spores and mycorrhizae spores for effective management of plant parasitic nematodes.

Mode of Action

  • Paecilomyces lilacinus is an egg parasitic fungi which parasitizes eggs, cysts and egg laying females.
  • The fungi alters eggshell permeability by production of chitinase, serine protease, glucoamylase.
  • Also produces diffusible fungal toxins such as lilacinin, paecilotoxin, leucinostatin and acetic acid.
  • Mycorrhizae competes with nematode for host photosynthesis, space and nutrients
  • Produces of nematostatic compounds and induces systemic resistance
  • Mycorrhizal root colonization affect root exudation. These changes could alter chemotactic attraction of nematodes to roots or directly retarded nematode development within root tissues.
  • Increases root growth and helps in uptake of nutrients to plants

Benefits

  • Controls effectively the economically important nematodes like root knot nematodes, burrowing nematodes, cyst nematodes, lesion nematodes etc., among wide range of crops
  • Inherently less toxic than conventional pesticides
  • Affect only the target pest
  • Does not create resistance, resurgence and residues problem
  • Helps to increase the productivity by containing the nematode pests
  • controls the Nematodes effectively at all stages like eggs, larvae, pupae etc.,
  • Helps in preventing the damages in the root system caused by Nematodes which generally lays eggs in the root tissues

(CFU count: 2 X 106/g) and carrier

Dose

Water soluble formulation
200 – 300 g per acre

Method of Application

Soil application

Mix 200-300 g with 1 L of water and sprinkle over 100 Kg of FYM or vermicompost. Broadcast this mixture uniformly all over the field for one acre area before sowing or planting.

Seed treatment

Mix 10 g of the product with required quantity of organic products like humic acid, sea weed extracts etc., in water. Coat the seeds with the slurry, shade dry for 10-15 min. and sow the seeds instantly.
